Чудесным образом наши старшие матрёшки трансформировались в прекрасных принцесс. Анастасия Меркулова, Маргарита Корсакова, София Кочубей и Елизавета Предовская стали дебютантками Татьяниного Бала 2019.
Уже пятый год наши танцоры принимают участие в этом уникальном событии Большого Вашингтона. И в этом году они не только танцевали, но и принимали активное участие в организации и ведении торжественной церемонии Бала.
Своими впечатлениями делится дебютантка Татьяниного Бала 2019 года — Маргарита Корсакова.
Сотни улыбающихся лиц, море ярких платьев, десятки фотокамер; сияющие люстры, высокие потолки, блестящий золотой паркет и огромные зеркала. Каждый год, выступая на Татьянином Балу, я переполняюсь непередаваемыми эмоциями! С каждым годом я получаю от бала что-то новое — появляются новые эмоции, новые люди, новые воспоминания, и в этом году бал для меня очень отличался от предыдущих. Благодаря опыту с прошлых лет, в этот раз я совсем не испытывала паники или боязни запутаться в движениях, ошибиться, споткнуться. На этом балу во время танца я впервые смогла расслабиться и насладиться каждым шагом выступления. Если пару лет назад я делала все движения на автомате, концентрируясь лишь на том, чтобы спина была ровной и улыбка оставалась на лице, то сейчас всё было наоборот. Осанка и искренняя улыбка стали естественной частью меня, и теперь я выкладывалась по полной на каждом движении, на каждом поклоне, на каждом взмахе руки. Также, этот бал стал для меня особенным, так как мне выпала честь стать дебютанткой Татьяниного Бала. В самый главный, волнующий момент — момент получения красной ленты — эмоции настолько захлестнули меня, что я почти не помню, как вышла в зал, поклонилась, как на меня надели почетную ленту дебютантки и я сделала круг по залу. Вернулась к реальности я уже только в начале полонеза — танцуя, я вдруг ощутила невероятное, головокружительное счастье от сознания того, что все это происходит именно со мной и именно в этот момент. Я подумала о том, что через какое-то время всё это станет лишь прекрасным воспоминанием, так что пока я там, в золотом зале танцую для гостей бала, надо наслаждаться каждым движением танца и каждой секундой происходящего. Я очень благодарна Ксении Воеводской и Ольге Райнс за проделанную огромную работу в подготовке к балу и за то, что помогли нам понять, что принцессами не рождаются, а становятся. Благодаря им, этот бал стал незабываемым для всех! Немногим доводится побывать на настоящем балу, а тем более стать дебютанткой, и я безумно благодарна и счастлива, что мне выпала такая честь!

Matreshki turn into princesses . . . at the Tatiana Ball!
In marvellous fashion our older Matreshki were transformed into beautiful princesses. Anastasia Merkulova, Margarita Korsakova, Sophia Kotschubey and Elizaveta Predovskaya became debutantes at the Tatiana Ball 2019.
It is already the fifth year in which our dancers have taken part in this unique event in the Greater Washington Area. And this year our boys and girls not only danced, but also took active part in the organization and conduct of the Festive Ceremony of the Ball.
Margarita Korsakova, a debutante at the Tayanin Ball 2019, shares her impressions:
Hundreds of smiling faces, ladies in gorgeous gowns, dozens of cameras; shining chandeliers, high ceilings, a beautiful golden ballroom and huge mirrors. Every year, I get overwhelmed by inexpressible emotions while performing at Tatiana Ball! Each year I get something new out of this experience — new emotions, new people, new memories, and this year’s ball was very different from previous ones for me. Due to the experience from the past years of performances, this time I did not panic, feel nervous or scared to mess up. I was able to relax and enjoy every moment of the performance for the first time ever at this ball. If a couple of years ago I was doing the moves automatically, concentrating only on keeping my back straight and keeping a smile on my face, this year it was the complete opposite. Now my posture and sincere smile was a natural part of me, and I focused only on making every move, every bow, and every wave of the hand perfect. This year also became very special for me because I got the honor of being a Tatiana debutante. I was so swept up by emotions at the most important and exciting moment — the moment of receiving the red sashes — that I hardly remember how I came on the dance floor, bowed, received the honorable red sash and made a circle around the ballroom. I came back to reality only at the beginning of the polonaise, when I got hit by a sudden realization that I’m living in that moment, right there and right at that time, and I felt overcome by an incredible feeling of joy. I realized that everything is happening to me and at this exact moment, and that soon, all of this will be just a beautiful memory, but now, at that specific moment, while it is lasting, while I am there, in that beautiful golden ballroom, with hundreds of people’s eyes glued to me, I should live in the moment and enjoy every step of the dance and every second of the night. I am very grateful to Xenia Woevodsky and Olga Rines for their hard work in order for this memorable night to happen and for helping us realize that one doesn’t have to be born a princess in order to become one. Thanks to Olga and Xenia, Tatiana Ball 2019 became an unforgettable night for everybody. Not everyone gets the chance to attend a real ball, let alone perform at one, and very few get the honor to become a debutante. I am incredibly thankful and happy that I had such a magnificent experience!
